The body of a 25-year-old woman was found on Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road near here on Thursday. The police has registered a case of murder after it found injury marks, indicating that she was killed.
The victim ahs been identified as Manpreet Kaur of Subhanpur village in
Chabbewal.
The woman was found lying dead this morning near Bhagora crossing, and a scooter was also found close to her body, Paramjit Singh, SHO Mahilpur police station, said here on Thursday.
He said that Kaur left her house last evening for attending engagement of her friend, but did not return.
Her body bore injury marks including on the head, Singh said, adding that a murder case has been registered in this regard.
