The jail staff recovered 44 packets of sedative pills from three prisoners lodged in the Ludhiana central jail. The accused have been identified as Pankaj Kumar, Shehazad Khan of Gulabi Bagh Colony and Jagraj Singh of Mangli village of Ludhiana. The division no. 7 police has
registered a case of possessing sedative pills against the three prisoners on the complaint of superintendent of the central jail SP Khanna.

According to ASI Vipan Kumar of the division no. 7 police station, the police would take the accused on production warrant from the jail and would question them about the procurement of sedative pills in jail.
