Hearing in the double murder case of Moga DSP Balraj Singh Gill and Monika Kapila Bajaj was adjourned on Friday after two of the accused were not produced before the court. The case would now be heard on April 8. Hearing for cross evidence was scheduled on Friday. But it was
deferred as two of the accused, Hasanjit and Harvinder Singh, who were shifted to Patiala Jail were not brought to the court. However, the remaining four accused, Pritpal Singh alias Laddu, Umesh Karda alias Sonu, Ravinder Singh alias Rinku, and Davinder Pal alias Laddi were produced before the court.

Kashmira Singh Gill, father of the slain DSP, and complainant in the case was also present in the court. Harpreet Singh Sandhu, the counsel of the complainant, said the case had been adjourned to April 8 for cross examination.

DSP Gill, who was in Ludhiana at the time to meet his family, and Monika Kapila were found murdered in a farmhouse on Hambran Road on February 1, 2012. The Haibowal Police had registered a case a day later, and arrested the key accused on April 4, 2012.

Though the police had submitted the chargesheet against the accused on June 12, 2012, charges were not framed against the accused until January 15 this year.
