To boost bilateral trade between India and Pakistan, PHD chamber of commerce will organise Indo-Pak International Trade Expos (IPEX) in Ludhiana and Jalandhar. Chairman of the association Rajiv Bali on Tuesday said the first expo would be organised in Ludhiana from February 15-18, while
the second one would be held from March 7-11 in Jalandhar.

Batting for increased bilateral trade between India and Pakistan he said if trade between two countries is boosted all other issues confronting the two countries will be pushed to the backburner.

“Booming bilateral trade may well be the strongest pillar of Indo-Pak rapprochement so much so that it shall not only overtake the pace of general confidence-building but also have a substantial impact on each other's mutual perceptions,” said Bali.

“With cross-border trade, it shall contribute to overall tranquillity and peace in the area and shall well facilitate progress in the border areas,” Bali said.
