Maninder Pal Singh alias Sunny Johar, the key accused in AIG assault case, has no leg fracture, doctors at the civil hospital here confirmed on Friday. Earlier in the day, high drama was witnessed at the hospital, after Johar, soon after being discharged, again started complaining of
chest pain. However, his ECG was found normal and was finally discharged.

He was brought to the civil hospital from the central jail on Thursday night after he complained of pain in the chest and right leg, which is wrapped in plaster. A number of people visited him in the hospital on Friday.

Dr Davinder Singh of the civil hospital told mediapersons that Johar could have injuries on soft tissues of his ankle, but there was no fracture in the leg, thus corroborating the report carried by HT that the plaster could be a ploy to mislead the investigations.

Dr Sarvesh Kaushal of civil hospital said Johar had undergone a gall bladder surgery a few days back and had come for follow-up.

Johar was sent to the central jail late in the evening.
