The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is all set to hold its “Inter-College Youth Festival 2013-14” from October 21 to 27.
Giving details, Balwinder Singh, director students' welfare, said the youth fest will provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent and creativity in a vast array of events.
He added that although the PAU is a farm varsity, yet the students have the passion to participate in cultural activities and win laurels.
Singh said the competitions in collage making, creative writing and cartooning would be organised on October 21 followed by the competitions in poster making, debate, clay modelling and poetic recitation at PAU Student's Home on October 22.
Besides, events like on the spot painting, extempore elocution, rangoli and photography will also be held on October 23 and 24.
Singh added that the formal inauguration of the youth fest would be held on October 25 at Open Air Theatre of PAU. Creative dances, folk songs and other musical events will also be held on that day. Quiz competitions, one-act play, mimicry and mime would be conducted on October 26, he added. On the concluding day i.e. on October 27, competitions in skit, mono-acting, and folk dances will be held followed by the prize distribution function in the evening.
