Police crack whip against vehicles that cause traffic hurdles

The city police will get strict with traffic offenders who have been foiling there efforts to ease the flow of the traffic, by parking their vehicles haphazardly.
The police has initiated action against such violators and registered cases against them for creating hurdles in the flow
of traffic under section 283 of IPC.

The city police registered 7 such cases against the violators on Monday. Division number 7 police booked a car driver Ram Kumar on Monday, he had parked his vehicle in the middle of the road thus obstructing traffic.

Similarly, police division number 7 booked three-wheeler driver Jagdish Kumar of Jeevan Singh Nagar, handcart puller Om Prakash of EWS Colony and SUV driver Rachhpal Singh of Sahar village, Gurdaspur, for obstructing traffic in three separate cases.

Basti Jodhewal police booked a pick-up van drivers Ravinder Singh of Captain Colony of Meharban, Bablu of Cheema Chowk and Daljit Singh, Jasveer Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Satnam Singh, Nishan Singh, Raj Kumar, Bhayiya, Satnam Singh, Nihal Singh and Pradeep Kumar in three separate cases for regulating the flow of traffic.
