The state technical education and industrial training department singed MoU with Toyota Kirloskar Motor at Chandigarh on Wednesday. Under this agreement auto motive body repair and auto motive paint trades and Toyota technical programme would be incorporated in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Ludhiana and ITI Lalru.
Principal secretary, technical education and industrial training department, AR Talwar, was the chief guest on the occasion.
An official spokesman of technical education and industrial training department said that the department had earlier signed an MOU with Toyota Kirloskar Motor for starting motor mechanic vehicle trade in ITI Ludhiana.
He said that under this agreement all the students studying in motor mechanic are being imparted up to date training and technique.
He said that the students have also been offered jobs by the dealers of Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Talwar further added that in the first phase the training would commence in ITI Ludhiana and Lalru and in the second phase it would start in all the ITIs across the entire state.
B Purushartha, director, Technical Education and Industrial Training; Najubudeen, deputy director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor; Manish Kansal, senior officer, Toyota Kirloskar Motor; Daljit Kaur Sidhu, additional director, Technical Education and Industrial Training; Baljinder Singh, principal, ITI Ludhiana and Jaswant Singh, principal, ITI Lalru were also present at the event.
