Wanted for killing the leader of rival gang, Boxer, leader of gang of miscreants, along with his aide Deepu was arrested by the Daba police in the Sahnewal area on Wednesday.
The police also recovered an illegal pistol from their possession, which was supposed to be used for killing
Pinku, leader of rival Pinku gang.
The accused were produced before the court, which remanded them in three days of police custody.
According to inspector Jatinder Jeet Singh, SHO of Daba police station, the accused had shot dead Pinku on August 15 at Barota Road during a clash. The accused had shot Pinku at his chin, as a result he died on the spot.
The SHO said according to information, Pinku had laid trap at Barota road on August 15 to kill Boxer over a rivalry. But Boxer and his accomplices overpowered Pinku and his aides.
The police had registered a case of murder and for possessing and using illegal weapons against Boxer and five others, who were absconding
"We had preserved the bullet found in Pinku's chin for forensic investigation. We will send the pistol to the forensic science lab to match it with the bullet. It will be a strong evidence against the accused," the SHO said.
"The police have launched a manhunt to arrest rest of accused," he added.
