The police booked Gurpreet's husband Satnam Singh, his father Bhura Singh and his sister Hardeep Kaur for demanding dowry and causing death by burns or bodily injury.
Brother of the victim, Gursewak Singh said they met senior superintendent of police Harcharan Singh Bhullar on Wednesday but failed to get any satisfactory response from him, following which they decided to hold a protest.
