A heated arguments between two students groups turned ugly, leaving more than a dozen of them injured in Sunam on Wednesday evening. The injured were admitted to the local civil hospital.
The police said the brawl broke out after two students fell into a verbal spat over
some old enmity on the premises of the Shaheed Udham Singh Government College here. Both the groups attacked each other with sharp-edged weapons and hurled stones and rocks at each other injuring over a dozen.
A police force had been deployed in the college to defuse the situation, even as many students were arrested in this connection. Investigation officer Satnam Singh said they have started investigations.
