Three travel agents booked for duping man of Rs. 3 lakh

Three travel agents have been booked for allegedly cheating and other charges by the Amloh police.

Following the complaint of Jaspreet Singh of village Raipur Ariyan near Amloh to the Fatehgarh Sahib senior superintendent of police (SSP), the trio - Raminder Singh and Bunty Vemra of Tilak Nager in Ludhiana and Hardeep Singh from Mandi Ahmadgarh of Sangrur district - were booked by the Amloh police.

In his complaint, Jaspreet alleged that the accused had taken Rs. 3 lakh to send him Singapore, but neither they sent to him Singapore nor returned his money.

After receiving the complaint, the SSP marked an inquiry into the case and a case was later registered against the trio under Sections 420(Cheating)) and 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust) of the Indian penal Code (IPC).
