University gets Rs. 2-cr aid from Fatehgarh Sahib College

Mata Gujri College principal Jatinder Singh Sidhu handed over a cheque for Rs. 2 crore to SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar, also the chancellor of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University at Fatehgarh Sahib, as assistance for day-to-day operations of the institution.


University registrar Pritpal Singh said that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College had also provided Rs. 2 crore as financial assistance to the university.

"The three institutions are run by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. At the trust meeting of the university, we decided to get aid from the colleges, and may provide them assistance in the future," disclosed university vice-chancellor Gurmohan Singh Walia.
