Students of Indo-Soviet Friendship College of Pharmacy organised a blood donation camp here on Tuesday. Former DGP PS Gill inaugurated the camp where students donated 229 units of blood.
Gill appealed to the youth to shun drugs and do work for society. He applauded the efforts put in by the ISF College in organising the camp.
ISF College chairman Parveen Kumar said it was a regular feature of the students of this college. "We have decided that the college will soon open drug information centres. We have also made arrangements in the college for providing blood to needy people free of cost," he added.
Gill and senior Akali leader Ranwinder Singh Pappu Ramuwala presented certificates to the students who had excelled in academics, sports and cultural activities.
