With counting of votes for the Moga assembly byelection scheduled for Thursday, for the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidates who are locked in a close fight it was a restless Wednesday. Joginder Pal Jain of SAD and Vijay Sathi of Congress, with their
supporters, were busy making ward-wise calculation of votes. With the byelection marred by cash-for-vote scandal, both sides were apprehensive that their calculations might go haywire for money might have made voters switch loyalties at last the moment.The counting of votes will take place at Bhupindra Khalsa School in Moga on Thursday.

Even as several candidates are in the fray, political analysts it's a contest between the candidates of Congress and SAD-BJP. Ravinder Singh Dhaliwal of the People's Party of Punjab is also in the race.
