A court here on Tuesday extended the police remand of the three youths arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of advocate Amarpreet Singh by two days.

Amarpreet was shot dead outside his house by a group of youths on February 27 after he had object to their parking a car

While Jaswinder is the son of an SGPC member from Ludhiana, Sunbir Singh is the son of a stakeholder of Alpha Mall in Amritsar. On Tuesday, the police produced the accused before a court and sought the extension of their police remand. The police are yet to arrest the other six accused who have been absconding. They are: Sunil Bhanot alias Chhoti of Sector 45, Chandigarh; Rajat of Burail, Dharminder Singh from Ludhiana, Deepak Kaushal of Phase 3A, Kevin Sushant alias Richi of Kharar and Vishal from Delhi.
