State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Kamal Sharma said the absolute majority of 59 MLAs of its allied SAD would make no difference to its status either in government or assembly. Rather it would strengthen the relationship and performance of the government.
He was talking to
mediapersons during his visit to Zirakpur on Wednesday.

Talking about his priorities for the party, he said the units, including that of state, district and blocks, would be reconstituted soon. Tainted leaders would be shown the door while dedicated and honest workers would be inducted, he added.

He said the Dera Bassi BJP president who was found involved in contract killing had been expelled from the party. Those present on the occasion included former minister Tikshan Sud, Balram Das Tondon, Zirakpur BJP president Narinder Goyal and district president Sukhvinder Goldy.
