Two more deputy superintendent police (DSP) rank officers of Delhi and Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Services (DANIPS) cadre joined Chandigarh Police on Thursday.
Krishan Kumar Sharma and Jai Bhagwan Sharma joined Chandigarh Police on deputation. They are yet to be given the
charges. The two officers have held the posts in crime and police control room in Delhi.

With their joining, the Chandigarh Police now have seven DSPs from Delhi and three each from Haryana and Punjab. The DSPs on deputation to the UT police clearly outnumber the local officials of the rank. Out of 20 DSPs with the UT police, seven are from the Chandigarh cadre.

The five DSPs from Delhi were handed over their departments last month. They had joined in January this year.
