A businessman committed suicide by jumping in front of speeding train near Sodal Railway crossing on Saturday. The victim has been identified as Rajesh Kakkar (45) who jumped in front of the Dadar Express at around 11am, sources in the Government Railway Police (GRP) said.
The accused
was identified by the identification he was carrying. Around 5,500 were also recovered. Later, his son Jatin Kakkar recognised the dead body, after ibfiormation was sent to his residence in Mai Heera Gate locality.
Jatin claimed that his father had been under depression for over two weeks and he could not say what prompted him to end his life. The body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem and a case under Section 174 of the CrPc has been registered.
