The Basti Jodhewal police on Monday booked three women and busted a prostitution racket following the complaint of a girl. Complainant Sushma Rani of New Subhash Nagar alleged that Manjit Rani of New Subhash Nagar and her daughters Rekha Rani and Rajni used to lure girls on the pretext
of sending them abroad, but use to push them into prostitution.
Manjit Rani is settled in Cyprus, while Rekha Rani and Rajni are conducting their deeds from Ludhiana.

According to the complainant, Rekha and Rajni had sent her to Cyprus in July 2012 on the pretext of providing a better job. Their mother Manjit Rani met her in Cyprus and tried to push her into flesh trade. She denied and managed to return to Ludhiana and filed a complaint to the police.

She also alleged that the accused had pushed many innocent women into flesh trade in Cyprus.
SHO of Basti Jodhewal police station Balwinder Singh said the police have initiated investigation in the matter and would arrest the accused soon.
