The Division Number 7 police on Sunday claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket with the arrest of seven persons, including five women, from Jagdishpura on Tajpur Road.
However, the kingpin of the brothel, Jaswinder Kaur, managed to flee the spot. The police have booked all accused
under the Immoral Trafficking Act.

The accused have been identified as Ashok Kumar of Sunet village, Rajesh Kumar of Dhuri Lines, Poonam, Rajni, Rekha, Bindu and Rajveer.

Giving details, inspector Raj Kumar, SHO, Division Number 7 police station, said after receiving a tip-off, the police sent a cop as a decoy customer to the house of Jaswinder Kaur at Jagdishpura.

Kaur allegedly demanded Rs. 1,000 for providing a girl. Meanwhile, the police team lurking in the area raided the house, and arrested two customers and five women.

According to the police, four of the arrested women are married. They admitted that they indulged in flesh trade due to financial problems. They used to come to Kaur's house in the morning and remained there till evening. Kaur allegedly charged Rs. 500 to 1,000 from customers.

“We will produce the accused before the court on Monday. Efforts are on to nab the kingpin of the brothel,” said the SHO.
