GADVASU to host annual book fair from tomorrow

If you are looking for books that can guide you to raise your pets, head to the two-day book fair that is going to start at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana on Wednesday.


University librarian Dr RS Brar said the book fair will be beneficial not only for students but also pet lovers and farmers who want to enhance their knowledge about their animals and how to take good care of them.

Brar said the books with all such information will be available at the book fair.

He further said the book fair will focus on latest books in the field of: veterinary, fisheries, dairy science and technology and biotechnology.

Textbooks for students, coloured atlas and special books for lovers of dogs, cats and horses are all available at the fair.

He further said students and teachers love book fairs as this provides easy access to a wide assortment of books and inspires them to read more and gain more knowledge.

He further added that around 25 book publishers/sellers from across India including New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Rohtak, Mumbai and Ludhiana will be participating in the fair.

Each publisher/seller will display more than 200 books on various subjects and topics.

The book fair will be organised at the examination hall of College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU adding that the university organises the book fair every year.
