The police on Sunday arrested Sunil Katyal of Ludhiana who allegedly worked as a "quality controller" for the heroin racket that was busted with the arrest of NRI Anoop Singh Kahlon.
"Katyal works as a drug quality controller in a pharmaceutical company, Chemist Adefis, in Ludhiana. And
for the past more over two years, he used to take the heroin to the lab and test it for the peddlers using the equipment there," SSP Hardyal Singh Mann said.
This is the seventh arrest overall in the case, and the fifth on tip-offs provided by Kahlon and his accomplice Rocky who were nabbed on March 3.
