Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh said on Wednesday the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was ahead of the Congress when it comes to election management.
Singh said this while responding to a query on the Congress' poll performance in the recent past. Earlier, he had said on several occasions that elections were won through proper management.
The Congress has done well in the village panchayat elections, but lack of coordination affected its performance in the civic polls, Singh said. Commenting on the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, he said he had original copies of the data and call record details related to the scam.
Singh added he had communicated to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that he would be make them available for investigation if the Special Task Force (STF) did not provide the necessary details. SIT is monitoring the investigation by STF into the MPPEB scam.
Speaking about the BJP government at the Centre, he said it was still unclear about the Smart City project. He alleged that the BJP misused funds allotted to the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) by the UPA government in the past five years.
The Congress leader also said the central government did not reduce diesel and petrol prices in proportion to the fall in crude oil prices in the international market. Earlier he addressed public meetings in Gohalpur and other localities in support of party's mayoral candidate Geeta Sharat Tiwari and corporators.
