BSP announces 21 more candidates to make it 111 in fray

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Thursday announced its second list of 21 candidates, making it 111 nominees in the fray for the January 30 Punjab assembly elections that the party would contest in absence of any alliance. The 21 candidates included Raman Kumar (from Dinanagar), Parveen
Kumar (Gurdaspur), Jagpreet singh (Bholath), Charanjit Hans(Kapurthala), Tarsem Lal Dola (Sultanpur Lodhi), Ludhiana councillor Hans Raj (Ludhiana North), Balbir Singh (Gill), Jugal Mahajan (Amritsar South), Jagjit Duggal (Amritsar central), Des Raj (Jandiala Guru), Lashmir Singh (Patti), Kewal Singh (Nihal Singh Wala), Dashera Singh (Maur), randhi Singh (Rampura Phul), Harbans Singh (Bathinda Rural), Balbir Singh bahia (Jaito), Shankar Daliya (Patiala City), Harmail Singh (Sangrur), Rajinder Singh (Banga), Baldev Singh (Atam Nagar) and R M John(Ludhiana Rural).

The BSP had already declared 90 candidates, besides these 21.

Announcing the list of candidates, BSP national general secretary Narendra Kashyap said the party's supremo Mayawati would address four big rallies during the election campaign in Punjab. Two on January 21 in Kharar and Nawanshahar and two on January 22 in Muktsar and Chhapar.

The rest of the six candidates to make it in all 117 constituencies would be announced later, Kashyap said.
