Navjot Sidhu rides a cycle to file nomination

A Land Cruiser, two BMW's, a Toyota Fortuner, a Toyota Corolla and an Ambassador -- the list of cars that BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu owns. But, he preferred to ride a cycle to file his nomination papers .

 

The cricketer turned politician's wife and BJP candidate from Amritsar (East) Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, also accompanied him in his bicycle ride.

Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who recently resigned to plunge into state politics, has movable assets worth Rs. 77,27,469 and immovable assets worth Rs. 2,38,94,000.

Whereas her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu has movable assets worth Rs. 7,13,16,511 and immoveable assets of Rs. 12,14,50,000.

And in total the Sidhu couple along with a fleet of vehicles has total assets around Rs. 23 crores.

Talking to mediapersons after filing her nomination papers, Navjot Kaur Sidhu said, "I have jumped into politics just aiming development of the constituency. I have started campaigning and will seek votes from the people on issue of development."

Navjot Sidhu stressed that SAD-BJP has looked after the state very well, whereas congress is currently struggling to put things in order, due to infighting.
