BJP leader Uma Bharti on Saturday alleged that Congress was allowing use of "indecent" and "foul" language and asked its general secretary Rahul Gandhi to condemn party leaders making personal attacks on her.
"Congress leaders have been terming me outsider again and again. I want to appeal to Congress and its leaders that what so ever they want to abuse me, please do it after elections, don't distract the attention of people from core issues. Have some mercy on the poor," she told reporters here.

"I am surprised that the party is allowing use of indecent and foul language, Rahul Gandhi must reply to this. If he has to show his family culture and tradition then he must condemn Congress leaders, who use such language," she said.

The BJP leader said terming her an outsider was an insult of the honesty of poor people.

"When Rahul started his election campaign from Phoolpur, he said that caste and religion politics won't work in UP," she said, alleging that shortly after this came the Centre's declaration regarding 4.5 % reservation for minorities by "curtailing the rights of backward Hindus".

"Rahul repeatedly says that Mayawati's elephant is eating money, but who sends the money from the Centre. Rahul feeds the elephant," she alleged, adding the Centre was responsible for corruption in UP.

The BJP leader claimed that SP, BSP and Congress had an understanding among each other. Bharti also said that by "misusing" the CBI, the government has raised questions over its impartiality.

Muslims don't need reservation if adequate facilities and hi-tech education was ensured by using Waqf property, Bharti said.

Asked about Team Anna campaigning in UP, the BJP leader contesting from Charkari Assembly seat, said she honoured the social activist and his decision to stay away from politics was good.

"He should suggest an alternative political module and by the time this does not happens his decision to remain apolitical is good," she said.
