Fixing T20 matches may have paid for S Sreesanth’s expensive designer jeans, but animals rights group Peta now want the tainted pacer to promote another type of ‘fixing’.
And, no, they don’t want Sreesanth to pose in his expensive attire to endorse this campaign.
Going by their past record, they probably want the pacer with nothing but a fig leaf protecting what little modesty he still has left!
“We would like to offer you an opportunity to generate public goodwill towards yourselves while helping to take the spotlight off this controversy: star in a Peta ad promoting a different kind of ‘fixing’ — sterilising dogs and cats. No one would call you ‘out’ about that,” People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) read their statement requesting Rajasthan Royals tainted trio of Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan to promote their version of ‘fixing’.
“... Because of unchecked breeding and a lack of good homes, millions of dogs and cats all over the world languish in animal shelters or are euthanised every year,” it added.
Hopefully the stint behind bars on judicial remand would have helped the tainted trio understand the plight of caged animals. But, then again, maybe not!
