Vidya Balan has been the face of the Indian contingent at Cannes because of her inclusion in the jury. Although the actor hasn’t earned much praise for her red carpet appearances, she has been seen socialising with her co-jurors, celebrated Hollywood stars and directors such as Christoph Waltz, Nicole Kidman and Steven Spielberg.
Recently, the actor bumped into another big name, Telugu star Chiranjeevi, who met her at the ongoing festival. The duo had a prolonged conversation at the event. “Chiranjeevi was excited to meet Vidya at the film festival. As soon as he met her, he praised her for her choice of films and appreciated her for all the good work that she is doing. Vidya was happy to find an admirer in Chiranjeevi, who himself is such a big star down south,” says a source close to Vidya.
And that’s not all. Chiranjeevi also insisted that Vidya meet his family. The source says, “Chiranjeevi expressed his desire to introduce his family to Vidya. The actor’s family, including son Ram Charan Teja, was also keen on meeting her. Vidya interacted with his family on the red carpet and also posed for the shutterbugs.”
