Singer Marc Anthony has splitfrom his girlfriend of more than a year, Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima, earlier this month. "The amicable breakup became official right in mid-January," said Anthony's representative.

Marc Anthony, 44, and De Lima, 24, who has a five-year-old son from a previous relationship, went public with their romance in January last year on Twitter, reported Us magazine.

The Rain Over Me hitmaker was previously married to singer-actress Jennifer Lopez, who recently said that she felt like her "whole life had fallen apart" when she split from him. The couple had announced their separation in July 2011, and Lopez has since moved on with backup dancer Casper Smart, 25.
