The offer is valid only for travel till March 31.
Emirates operates 185 flights per week to 10 Indian cities. “The move will trigger a price war. This often happens during the lean travel season. Other carriers will definitely follow suit,” said Rajji Rai, chairman, Swift Travel International.
“Jet Airways has also brought down return fares for the Delhi-London route from January 31 by R9,000,” said Rai.
Cathay Pacific was offering nearly 10% discount for India-Hong Kong flights.
Gurgaon-based SpiceJet had recently slashed fares in the domestic sector offering one million seats at an all-inclusive fare of R2,013 for any local flight between February 1 and April 30, booked till January 13.
