Union minister Manish Tewari on Saturday attacked the SAD-BJP-led Punjab government for "lawlessness" in the state. Addressing gatherings at Singhpura and Ayali Khurd villages in Ludhiana district, he also claimed that no developmental activities were taking place in the state.

"The Union government allocates huge funds to the state, yet it has been observed that Punjab is failing in its duty to provide civic amenities," Tewari said. He said the state was "suffering from lawlessness and corruption".
