Similarly, action would be taken against any candidate, polling agent or party worker who is found spending more than Rs. 10,000 on publicity material, carrying drugs or gifts to woo voters, the spokesman said.
The EC officials would also confiscate any objectionable material found during checking of vehicles or poll offices.
The spokesman said the EC had already instructed its teams to hold videography and monitoring of the entire process to ensure that the model code of conduct was not violated.
