As per the complaint filed by the victim at the Sadar police station, Sewa Lal, a resident of street number 1, Bharat Colony, Nabha Road, had sexually harassed her near phatak number 23, while she was on her way to buy vegetables on May 18, 2004.
After a few days, as per the complaint, the convict had gone to the house of the victim and attempted to rape her, as she was alone. The timely intervention of the victim's daughter-in-law scuttled his attempts.
