The IG also directed the SSP and other gazetted officer to ensure that the police officials on duty act neutrally and also perform their duty honestly. Moreover, no police personnel should be allowed to violate the model code of conduct of the Election Commission.
Dhillon also said during the elections about 1,700 policemen--gazetted and non-gazetted, home guards, head constables and constable will be put on all kinds of election duty.
Apart from it, six companies of paramilitary Forces will be put on poll duty so that electorate could exercise their franchise fearlessly.
The IG police also stated that if needed more police force would be deplayed in Moga for smooth and peaceful polling.
The IG also stated that the district administration has declared 27 polling station as supersenstive and 47 as sensitive out of 93 polling stations being setup for polling.
The Moga assembly constituency have total 1,78,320 electorate, including 94,098 males and 84,222 females.
