Stating that trade between India and Israel has touched $5 billion, Ushpiz said Israel is recycling 75-80% of sewage water for agricultural purposes and is also minimising the amount of water leakage.
He said a Centre of Excellence for mangoes was already operational in the state while another one for vegetables is in pipeline.
Ushpiz stated that the state government had evinced certain level of interest in exploring various avenues for cooperation in diamonds, machinery, textiles, agriculture and other fields.
Opening Gujarat chapter of Indo-Israel Chamber of Commerce, he said, is also being considered.
The ambassador would also visit the Jewish community in Ahmedabad and other cities of Gujarat.
