Terming the brutal gangrape of December 16 as a "colossal tragedy", the minister said he's open to meet the December 16 gang rape victim's father, who had expressed his desire to meet him. A Delhi court had on Monday declared the sixth accused a juvenile and Delhi Police are taking legal opinion whether to challenge the order.
The Law Minister was inaugurating the three-day conference organised by the International Bar Association, The conference is being co-chaired by Amir Singh Pasrich, of ILA Pasrich & Co., and Rajiv Luthra of Luthra & Luthra Law offices. The conference will have over 35 international speakers.
Asked about the entry of foreign law firms into India, Kumar said all options were open but there were "strong arguments on both sides". The final view had not been taken and it's an "open dialogue," he added.
