The police booked five Class-11 students of a government school on Friday on the charges of abducting and sodomising a student at Dhingsara village, 15 km from here. The 14-year-old victim was allegedly abducted by the accused, all aged 16, on January 30 and taken to a field in the village, where he was sodomised.

The accused then dumped the boy near his house and fled from the spot. Initially, the victim did not reveal the incident to his parents. When he fell ill on January 31, he was taken to the civil hospital. Eventually, he made the disclosure to his parents, who informed the police on Friday.

According to the complaint, the accused also made a video clip of the incident and threatened the boy with dire consequences if he didn't keep mum. On the basis of the complaint, the police booked the accused under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Nripjit Singh said, "The police are on the lookout for the accused, who are on the run."
