Prabhudheva's next, ABCD - Any Body Can Dance, directed by choreographer-director Remo D'Souza, will release on February 8. And the makers have included one special number in the film, just to surprise the dancing legend.
They've bought the rights to the song, 'Aa re pritam pyaare', from
his superhit film Rowdy Rathore (2012). A source reveals, "They felt it would be a great addition. And since the movie was produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions, it wasn't much trouble to acquire the rights."
The source adds that the song, which was originally an item number picturised on three women, now features three boys and a girl. Ask Remo about this and he says, "It was a surprise for Prabhudheva. I thought why can't we have something that Prabhu created for his film and give it a new twist in ABCD."
Interestingly, Dance India Dance (DID) winner Shakti Mohan was one of the girls featured in the original. Remo adds, "And in ABCD, Vrushali, another dancer from DID will make her Bollywood debut. The song is used in the film for a bit and is a completely whacked-out take of the original."
