Four boys were injured in a mysterious low intensity blast in Kashmir's Northern district of Bandipora, a second incident of its kind since Wednesday when two siblings lost their lives in Rajouri.

A police spokesman said that the explosion occurred after the boys while playing started a bonfire in the fields of Aragam, Chatti Bandi.

"The boys received injuries when something exploded in the bonfire. The injured were shifted to the district hospital after which two boys Momin Ahmad Rather and Amjad Ahmad Khan were shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital in Srinagar for treatment," the spokesman said.

He stated that their condition was stable. "Police is on the job to ascertain the cause of the explosion," he added.

On Wednesday, a mysterious blast killed two school going siblings, eldest of age nine, in a village of Rajouri in Jammu division.

Locals said that two minors were killed when they were on their way to home from school in the outskirts of Baryoon Dara village of Thanamandi tehsil.
