Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday hinted that the UPA government may declare snap polls any time after the Union Budget. Addressing party workers in Lucknow, Yadav exhorted them to be ready for an early Lok Sabha election.

The party has already distributed tickets to a majority of candidates in the state.

Yadav said with a populist Budget for the next fiscal, the Congress-led UPA would try to cash in on by going to polls by September-October 2013.
