At present, to escape the long queue along the stretch, many motorists use the slip road which merges with the main road near the intersection.
The Huda's move came following a decongestion plan suggested by the city traffic police.
According to the traffic police, commuters who use the slip road create bottleneck near the Signature Tower.
"The slip road was constructed by the Huda to provide hassle-free drive to the commuters who want to take left at least 200 meters before the intersection so that they can move towards Rajiv Chowk without disturbing the traffic on the main carriageway," said a senior traffic police official.
But a large number of commuters going towards Iffco Chowk use the slip road to avoid the long queue.
"All intersections connecting the city to the expressway are having similar problems. We are closely observing the situation and enacting the regulatory methods," said the official.
The traffic police said that similar situation prevails at Iffco Chowk, Jharsa Chowk and other places.
