The Met forecast more showers in the next 24 hours, which would bring temperatures down by 2-3 degrees Celsius from Tuesday’s levels of 18°C (maximum) and 13°C (minimum). However, it added that conditions would stabilise after Wednesday.
“This kind of rain is caused by western disturbances. It will last only a day and there will be a reversal from Wednesday afternoon,” said Met director BP Yadav. The rain brought with it the usual problems — jams, waterlogging and load-shedding.
