The accused had entered the house by breaking open the front door. Sahani said he initially thought that his son had returned home early.
"However, I smelt something fishy and immediately raised an alarm," he said.
One of the thieves heard Sahani's cries for help and rushed towards the gate.
"One of the thieves held me at gunpoint and asked me to keep quiet, and then both the accused fled. The incident has left me shaken," added Sahani.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against two unidentified persons and the loss is yet to be ascertained by the family.
Four days ago, thieves fled with jewellery and cash worth lakhs from Block A 14/7.
