Rising input costs and the fluctuating Indian Rupee has led to a bevy of carmakers raising prices in 2013. Nissan and Hyundai are the latest to announce price hikes for their cars.

Nissan will hike the prices of its Micra hatchback by 1.5 percent, Sunny by two percent and Evalia by 2.5 percent. Nissan has said that this hike will apply to all the variants of the said cars.

Hyundai will also implement a price hike across all its models with effect from February 1, 2013. The price hikes range from around Rs. 4,200 for its Santro hatchback, going up to Rs. 20,878 for the Santa Fe.
