Ayushmann began his tryst with showbiz with MTV’s Roadies. The 28-year-old says it is now easier for people to make a transition from TV to films. “It is easy nowadays to make a transition from TV to films. I always say that this is the golden age of Indian cinema, where all kinds of cinema is working and every talented person is getting an opportunity. I guess this is the right time to be an actor,” he said.
Vicky Donor, even with its unique subject, did well at the box office — something that Ayushmann had not expected. “I always wanted to be an actor and make it big on the big screen. I never thought that the film would do well. I think it is overwhelming,” he said.
