You just have to dial a particular number on an audio system and you can individually listen to well-researched descriptions in a story telling format either in Hindi or English.
“We have introduced an audio guide system for visitors. It has been customised differently for the grown-ups and children because their need is different.
For children, the stories will be more interactive. A listen-in kit is available for Rs.75,” museum director Uday Singh Meena told HT.
The number you want to dial for a particular exhibit can be seen on a display board.
The Rail India Technical and Economic Services Ltd has procured the audio guide system, in which the historical significance of the exhibits has been recorded.
“The new system will enhance the overall learning experience. This will also ease overcrowding and noise as the peak footfall registered on a given day is as high as 5500,” said a senior railway official.
