Thind told the election observer that the administration had received a total of 41 complaints till Friday regarding the violation of the model code of conduct and all complaints had been reviewed. "Though no serious matter was found so far, all complaints have been forwarded to the state election commission," said Thind.
"We will not spare any official or others responsible for violating the norms during the entire election process. Returning officer Joram Beda is training the election staff. On the other hand, the police authority is providing us full cooperation," the DC said.The police have sealed the borders of the Moga area and are keeping a close eye on every vehicle.
DSP Gurmeet Singh said security arrangements had been made at all rural and urban areas.
"Policemen are checking suspected vehicles. The police barricades have been set up at Akalsar Chowk, Bughipura Chowk, Singhan Wala, Amritsar Road and some other areas. We have also constituted some special police teams for tackling any untoward incident," said the DSP.
