In the letter, the union leadership alleged that the director gave six-month extension to the employees, who were to retire in February and March, only to retain certain employees close to him.
The complaint read that the management of CITCO never implemented the instructions of government to extend the age up to 60 years for class-4 employees. The state of Punjab also does not provide extension of age to employees of boards and corporations, it read.
The union had sought an inquiry to ascertain that under what circumstances the age of retirement of employees of CITCO has been enhanced by six months.
