The Banga police have arrested three people for allegedly assaulting Denmark-based councillor Britta Godiksen Hajen. The assailants wanted to target her husband, Balkar Singh, but she intervened and was badly beaten up.
The FIR mentions that the she was molested and beaten up badly. All attempts by her husband to rescue her failed due to the ferocity and suddenenss of the attack. She alleged that a land dispute was behind the attack.

The attackers fled and she was taken to civil hospital, where her medical examination was conducted. Four injuries caused by a blunt weapon were visible.

The police have registered a case against Tirath Singh, Santokh Singh and Onkar Singh (all residents of Mehrampur village) under Sections 447 (punishment for criminal trespass), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
